Special notice for lodging partners

The information below is updated as of 6/16/25. Please watch the video for details on how to handle

Last week, the President paused immigration enforcement at hotels, restaurants, and farms. The expectation is that raids are most likely to continue in "sanctuary cities" which should not include Sedona. That said, it's still good to be prepared.

CLICK ON THIS VIDEO>> This video has a lot of helpful information, the most relevant information starts at 34:30

Key takeaways from the video for hoteliers and staff include:

  • Administrative warrants — those issued by ICE not a court — do NOT permit entry into private areas including offices and breakrooms.
  • Judicial warrants  — those issues by a federal judge or magistrate — authorize ICE to enter private property.
  • For any instances involving immigration enforcement, it is advised to have someone dedicated to documenting the interaction.
  • It is advised to not run away if any officials are approaching, that may be considered probable cause. You should ask "am I free to leave?"
  • You have the right to remain silent and request legal counsel.
  • If a search is underway, you may state "I do not consent to this search".

We work tirelessly to provide assistance at both local and state levels, ensuring that our hospitality partners have the resources and support needed to operate their businesses effectively. Our focus is on fostering a thriving tourism environment that benefits both the industry and the community.

We hold meetings once a month on the second Tuesday at 8:00 AM- 10:00AM at the Sedona public library.

Our Membership

The hotels, resorts, inns, and bed and breakfast lodging facilities in Sedona have come together to help each other by meeting from time to time to discuss issues important to hoteliers. This includes how to better serve the needs of their guests.

Guests invited to present or speak to the lodging community are invited to attend our meetings (usually, 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 8:00 a.m. at the Sedona Public Library). These guests have something important to share such as the status of the city's SIM projects (Sedona in Motion infrastructure) or the trailhead and micro-transit systems.

Membership cost is just six dollars per per room per year (hundred twenty five dollar minimum), six dollars per year per vehicle for a tour/adventure company.  All others are under an associate membership for $150 per year.
