The Sedona City Council created the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) to advise Council and city staff on creating the City's tourism program. The initial 12-month work plan will include advising on a tourism strategic plan, brand/identity development, summer marketing campaign(s), and a Sustainable Tourism Plan update. Meeting dates and agendas will be posted before each meeting and the public is welcome to attend.

The City of Sedona, Arizona, is the official destination management organization (DMO) for the city as of last July. The city took over the role after the Sedona Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau decided not to renew its contract with the city.

In the fall of 2023, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau initiated the Greater Sedona Business Improvement District (BID).
The Greater Sedona Business Improvement District (BID) is a way of funding business promotion and economic development activities to increase overall revenue for all businesses in Sedona and the surrounding areas.
To date, about 1,000 rooms are participating in the BID representing 12 hotels, resorts and B&Bs
